Tuttle Creek ORV area is a 300-acre park, open to all motorized and non-motorized vehicles. There are miles of trails consisting of steep climbs and rugged terrain waiting off road enthusiasts. The terrain welcomes the beginning off roader as well as plenty of challenges for the hardcore. This park is full of ledges, rocky climbs, wooded trials and even an area close to the lake where you can find mud. Tuttle Creek ORV area is an excellent place for club runs, as all levels of participants can enjoy a day of fun.
There are no services in the park, but there is a bathroom facility, so come self-contained as far as water, food and fuel. The closest fuel and quick shop is at Randolph, 1.5 miles to the north of the park, but the facilities there close early.
The meeting location for club runs is normally at the Topeka Rest Area, which is located on I-70 just before the tollgates. We meet at 8:00am and leave at 8:15am sharp. Total trip time is about 2.5 hours from Kansas City (one way). Most participants stop in Manhattan for dinner and fun before heading home, as there are numerous restaurants on the way through town. |
